Let’s get Stafford council to join 51M

51M is the name adopted by 19 local authorities that are working together to stop HS2. They have taken the name 51M, because that is how much HS2 would have cost each and every Parliamentary Constituency….£51 million. This figure was based on the original £33 billion budget which has been increased to £42.6 million.

The group want to highlight the impact the proposed scheme will have on every taxpayer in the Country for years to come and have present alternatives to the Government. To date Stafford County Council have not joined this group.  We believe that our Council should join this group and if you agree ask that you complete the petition.

You can sign this petition line at: http://moderngov.staffordshire.gov.uk/mgEPetitionDisplay.aspx?ID=79&RPID=33619758&HPID=33619758
